According to this article on the CNN website, the FCC received well over 300,000 phone calls on it’s 1-800-CALL-FCC help line on Friday from people who apparently had concerns about the end of analog television signals.  So somehow 300,000 people couldn’t figure out the need to get a converter box and simply plug it in – despite all the news stories, PSA’s and advertising – but they had no trouble figuring out how to call a relatively obscure toll-free line to a relatively obscure federal agency that rarely interacts with the general public.

Sure.  Makes sense to me.  Not.
